Default replacement skins already exist, and have for some time. And Rez Delnava has a mod over at MTS (

) that allows users to add more than six skins.

Hi Twallan, the Core-Code can blend or pick up from 2 different colours, red and green, but not from 2 different skintones, Peggy's and Aikea's for example, its outside his coding. The result is Trash, the resulting Sims hasn't an own skintone, because the Core doesn't "know" what to do with 2 skintones to choose from. The Sim takes the shower dressed. Its happens with the Sims generated from inside the inmigration pool if it is setted to 100% bin-offspring, not from the CAS by me. Thats why its dificult to detect the issue. The newborns from the issued Sim are borked or weird, if the Core-Code choose his skintone as dominant, because he finds the same dilema. And once installed in the library its nearly imposible to track and delete the affected Sims by the Mod. It's like a virus, spreading inside the hood. I made the question a week ago to Rez in his thread, but without any answer, and now he is gone for a while, leaving me without feedback. And thats why I regard his Mod as risky. Isn't this more an issue caused by a poorly designed skin?
I know nothing regarding skin creation, but I presume one must make a different skin for each age-stage and link them together in some manner.
Or is that the problem? Are multi age-stage skins not actually possible?

Hi Twallan. The skin is a image-file with DDS-Format as extention. The Core wraps it around a mesh, in this case, the body mesh. All the skins comes from an single template for each age. So it depends from the skills of the painter, how the Sim looks in Game. Every Age-Texture aka Paint has an asigned prefix, "af,am,bu and so on", so the Core can assign it onto the right age. And the colour is taken from a degradient toneramp: light, medium, red, blue etc. 2 different sources for the Core to generate a Sim: skin and tone. The core takes 1 skin and 1 tone: light, medium, dark, leaving blue and red as choice in CAS , and blend it together, spiting the result as NPC or Playable. Thats why the core can choose tone, but not skin, its not programed. This was your question?

So back to your original query: What exactly are you looking for? A complete removal of custom skins from the blending system?
I have control over the newborn skin blending via StoryProgression, so I could chose to not allow custom skin. However what happens if both parents have custom skins?

Two Sims with diferent skins generated by me in CAS through Mod are looking fine in game, but they are "Virus Porter". ( I know I'm earning a lot of enemies). Blocking custom skins on a newborn from this couple doesn't save it in the next Age-Stagger to being corrupted, because the core in some age transition will try to pick up or choose a skintone from the parents, And the result is a defintive corrupted, insurmountable Sim. The only solution is using only
one
skintone as default, ( Peggy's, Aikea's or whatever the taste), or a Mod capable to override the core, ignoring the request and dilema of the core in the Sims-skintone selection founding two different skintones to choose.
They are two ways: a mod that helps a foreign Mod, ( for me, a dying mod) or a brand new mod inside or outside SC. Or maybe noway. It's out of my range. That's all. ( I feel a bit lonely, because the mod was downloaded more than 3.000 times and I'm out of this thread). My apologize.TY Master
Edit :For those who don't understand the Issue: The difference between tone and skin is that the first is a hexadecimal number, easy understandable by the program and the second is a map, involving a more complex analisis not programed by TS3's-Core coding.

At the moment I'm still using V55, just downloaded V56. However this script error appeared immediately after using SuperComputer/ugrade skills.

"Status: No Partner" is an older filter, which you have probably already translated.
"Status: Partnered" is the new one.
I checked, and they both appear in the listing.

The error you received is not new with Phase Five, it would have occurred in prior versions as well.
Which skill did you change ? Was your sim reading a skill book when you upped their skill level ?

This mod has been updated to Version 57. Several fixes for the "Outfit" interaction.

My Active Sim was reading - I think it was a skill book - but it was an inactive sim's skills (one of the extended family) I was updating, & it was several, the ones relevant to his job. Twallan I'm not a computer thingee, I probably have had this message before - but I've only just figured out how to upload them to you.

I've been using the super-computer from back when it still was an item and have been very content with it since. It's especially handy for testing-purpose. However, it seems like it got enhanced in some of the more recent versions in a way that limits this ability. I discovered that I can no longer use it to get a sim more than one wife/fianee etc. at the same time. While this mimics EA default very well, it kind of clashes with the polygamy-option from
my mod
. I'd really appreciate it, if you could set up a relation-edit function without the check for existing romances in the expert-options or such.

Thank you SO much for this mod! It'll really make my game life easier. But I have a question and forgive me if it's answered somewhere I didn't see; I've been trying to figure out how to make related sims realtionships higher (you know their friendship level) I go to the sp-intermed-realationships and from there I'm kind of lost because anytime I get to the sim I'm looking for the only choice I have is "sister" 1-5. Is there some step I'm missing? Please help
